Sonia Jean-Bio
Sonia Jean began her dance training in Mesa, AZ where she grew up as a competitive dancer at Tempe Dance Academy. After graduating high school, she continued her education at The Juilliard School in New York City.
Sonia launched her professional career with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular Arena Tour, performing for four seasons before completing her final season at Radio City Music Hall. She was then invited to join Cirque Du Soleil in the creation of IRIS at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, CA. During her time with Cirque, Sonia appeared in the 84th Academy Awards, The Ellen Show, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Following the closing of IRIS, Sonia joined the Equity cast of Festival of the Lion King at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom, where she performed the principle role of Maji.
Alongside her performance career, Sonia has cultivated a strong passion for fitness, specializing in strength and conditioning for dancers. She is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds Acrobatic Arts certifications in Modules 1 and 2.
Sonia has created this platform to connect with dancers from across the U.S. and internationally. She is dedicated to helping dancers build strength, refine technique, and confidently pursue their goals.
